Week 1     Change Management

One of the major advantages of the Cloud is that new features roll out constantly.  This is also a pain point because new features can lead to frustrated users.  In this episode, learn some techniques on how to stay abreast of changes in Office 365 and manage the pace of change in your organization.

Week 2     Skype Administration

Learn how to manage the use of Skype for Business in your organization.  Learn about how you can manage your user's communications inside and outside of your organization, mobile access, audio and video communications, and configure Skype conferences.

Week 3   |   Exchange Administration

The primary workload of Office 365 email is often the first workload to go to the cloud. Here you can learn about the basics of mailboxes in the cloud and also see some of the advanced security protections that Exchange Online offers as part of Office 365 such as malicious attachments, links in emails, and spam filtering and controls.  In addition, we will look at policies that can be created to track emails that contain PII or other sensitive information and how we can control them.

Week 4     Groups Administration

Learn about what groups are used for in Office 365 from security to email distribution to full-fledged ad hoc collaboration.  How do we manage these groups and how to we leverage them for use in our organization.

Week 5     Power BI

Special Guest Larry Clark join us for a look at how to take the basic PowerBI features and extend them so that your reports have live data and tell a story to your users and a deeper look at the new analytics features and how to find and add new third-party visualizations.

Week 6     SharePoint Administration

SharePoint provides your organization with the ability to store files in an organized way.  In this episode we will look at how to create site collections, manage them, and also what options you have to secure your data in these collections.  We will also explore other topics like the User Profiles, Managed Metadata, eDiscovery and Records Management, and how to configure Search in Office 365.

Week 7     O365 Administration

An overview of the Office 365 Admin console including how to manage users, licenses, billing, and how to create a support ticket.  In addition, we will look at how to manage the various services at a tenant level that are part of Office 365 such as Teams and Groups.  We will also look at the out of the box reports that are provided to us to see how Office 365 is being used in our organization.  We will also look at the mobile management app.

Week 8     EMS

Join special guest Joe Kuster who will talk with us about many of the enhanced security and management features for Office 365.  This will include information on how to manage mobile devices and enforce BYOD policies in your organization as well as securing documents stored in locations such as OneDrive.

Week 9     Security and Compliance

Securing our information in Office 365 and complying with regulations are critical to the success of implementing O365. In this episode we will look at Microsoft’s new Secure Score Analyzer that will evaluate your tenant and provide suggestions on how to improve your security using techniques such as Multi-Factor Authentication. In the compliance center, we will learn how to setup alerts to watch and manage the activities our users are involved in.

Week 10  |  OneDrive

OneDrive is easy to setup and rollout, but difficult to manage and drive adoption. Microsoft has released a new Admin console that makes management of OneDrive significantly easier. Learn how to control sharing and anonymous link expiration. We will also learn how to manage syncing of documents by the devices that user can sync to, or by type of file. See how you can restrict via IP address and also mange the expiration and deletion of accounts when user accounts are removed.
